When something on your server is reachable and should not be, nuDefend lets you close it — from the dashboard or the command line, with no configuration files to edit and no services to restart.
Most tools stop exactly where the work starts
A product that reports an exposure and leaves you to work out how to close it has handed you the hard part. And the hard part was never knowing something was open — it is knowing precisely what to do, and doing it without breaking something else.
See what happens before it happens
Before anything changes you are shown what will be blocked, what that stops, and what keeps working as before. Nothing is blocked unless you asked for it.
You cannot lock yourself out
The connection you are using to reach the server, and access to the dashboard itself, cannot be blocked. That is not a setting you can change by mistake at two in the morning.
Reversible in a click, and always listed
Every block appears in a list with what it stops and when it was made, and undoes in one click. It is also removed entirely when the product is uninstalled.
What nuDefend does not do
A button like this is only worth having if you trust it, which means being exact about its limits:
- It blocks only what you asked for. There is no blanket policy and nothing blocks itself — the product reports, and you decide.
- It does not replace your cloud provider's firewall and does not manage your network. It closes a particular exposure on a particular server.
- nuDefend does not decide for you what is dangerous. Every tool found reachable is shown with a clear explanation: what it is, what could be done through it, and what action is available. Whether to block it stays your decision.
